The Blueskies are a five-piece electro band from Brighton, made up of Mike Fawcett (vocals), Kelwen Cooke (bass), Darius Alexander (guitar), Lewis Porter (synths) and James Drohan (drums). Formed in late 2006 by a shared love of geeking out over synths, secretly liking pop music and a passion for writing infectious melodies, the Blueskies specialise in make electro anthems from a diverse range of influences.
They have shared the stage with the likes of Pendulum, Ladyhawke, Does It Offend You, Yeah?, The Presets and Ratatat, and worked with well-known producers such as Andy Green (Keane, The Feeling, Scouting for Girls), Ken Nelson (Coldplay, Gomez, Kings of Convenience) and Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand, Mogwai, The Gossip, Camera Obscura). In 2010, the group embarked on tours around the UK and released their debut EP - glamourously recorded and produced in band members' bedrooms - on London based Killing Moon Records.
The Blueskies also like to DJ and remix other people's music. To date, they've produced remixes for the likes of All Time Low, The Xcerts, Doll and the Kicks and Paul Steel.
