Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles

Arthur Rigby and the Baskervylles

Arthur Rigby & the Baskervylles are an 8-piece orchestral pop band, based in Leeds. The sound the band creates is a genuinely beautiful mixing pot of lush orchestrations, poetic lyrics, romantic melodies and powerful energy. The music is the invention of front man and guitarist Benjamin, scoring songs for violins, piano, bass, trumpet, trombone, saxophone and flute. With influences extending from The Divine Comedy and Guillemots to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin their wide ranging material appeals to an eclectic mix of fans. In an eventful 12 months Arthur Rigby were finalists in Channel 4's Orange Unsigned Act competition, winners in the Reverb Musicmakers Songwriting Competition and featured on XFM radio, Tom Robinson's BBC 6 "Introducing" show, BBC Leeds Raw Talent and a live studio set, on local radio station Phoenix FM.
