Wake Up Slow

Wake Up Slow’s lead singer/guitarist Alan Semerdjian always had a special relationship to words. Growing up in a multi-lingual Armenian family (his grandfather spoke eight languages), his ears became attuned to the subtleties and musicality of language at a young age. Over the past fifteen years, Alan’s poetry and prose have appeared in dozens of print and online publications and anthologies, and he’s got a full-length book on the way. Combine that with ten self-released albums and close to one thousand performances in a myriad of musical outfits and you have one of the most seasoned, eclectic, and literary voices coming out of New York City.
