Jessy De Smet was born in Zottegem on the 8th of July 1976. When Jessy reached the age of 8, she started singing.
She joined The Mackenzie and scored a few huge hits all over with “Innocence”, All I need”, “Alive”, …. Her debut solo song, "Look @ Me Now", became a big hit too and launched Jessy into the UK and Spain markets. Her first solo album Rain did well in Belgium and also got a Canadian and American release.
At the end of 2006, Jessy and Micky Modelle started working on a full album, especially for the UK market. Jessy is also still working on a new album for the Belgian fans.
Jessy & Micky Modelle released in November 2007 "Show Me Heaven" in the UK, which also charted. It was a cover of the Maria McKee hit. Nowadays Jessy is working more of her time in the UK than in her home country of Belgium.
By the end of 2007 she sang a few hits on the "Milk Inc Supersized 2" shows @ the Sportpaleis (Belgium). The performance got Jessy back in the Belgian spotlights. She started working on a duet with Linda from Milk Inc, one of her best friends.
In June 2008 she released "Stop The Game”. In 2009 she toured in the UK with the Dance Nation tour. That same year, she signed a new deal with a Belgian recordcompany for 4 new albums!
During the Dance Nation tour, Jessy came in contact with DJ Sash. By the end of 2009 DJ Sash announced his new single, this would be "All Is Love" feat. Jessy.
In February, Jessy announced she was working with Regi from Milk Inc again. It will be a track for Regi’s new album “Registrated 2”, which will be released soon.
Jessy’s album, where she is working on now for a long time, will be released by the end of the year.
Sascha Lappessen, Thomas "Alisson" Lüdke, and Ralf Kappmeier, created Sash! in 1995. The previous year, the three had worked together, under the name of Careca, to produce a piece called "Indian Rave", which was a mildy successful song. In 1996, Sash! released "It's My Life", which became a European club hit. In 1997, with Sabine Ohmes as the singer, Sash! released "Encore Une Fois". Described on Sash's biography as "the big break", it reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart, as well as reaching the top 10 of five countries' singles charts, and the top 20 of seven countries' singles charts. In the same year, Sash! produced "Ecuador", and "Stay", which both also reached #2 in the UK Singles Chart.
