Ha Ha Tonka

Ha Ha Tonka

Ha Ha Tonka is a rock band from the Ozark region of Missouri. Their music has been described as a mixing of bluegrass and southern rock and a "marrying of influences as diverse as The Replacements, The Band, and Kings of Leon." Ultimately, what makes the Ha Ha Tonka brand of Southern rock so special is that it’s authentic, it’s effortless, and it never comes across as forced. They are masters at bringing together the traditional and the modern. They sit at the crossroads of Americana and indie, where Alabama meets Arcade Fire - shakes their hand and takes them out for a drink. Elizabeth Nelson from NPR recently commented about the band's newest single "Usual Suspects"... "Ha Ha Tonka may have created the catchiest mandolin-driven rock song since "Losing My Religion." You may have caught the band recently chowing down and jamming with celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain on his Travel Channel show No Reservations or being touted by Kevin Manno of MTV's The Seven as his "personal favorite" and that "they are going to be huge!"
